Our country has reached a great divide
No longer do we stand side by side
Like a football game we are split down the middle
But this is no joke or curious riddle
The Constitution is being shredded with ease
The Bill of Rights blows swiftly in the breeze
160 years ago we fought north against south
Not just a verbal salad by mouth
We took up arms and pitted brother against brother
We stained the ground with the blood of a father or mother
But there was a victor, the war did end
And they put the states back together again
America again stood with the red, white, and blue
Without, we would have lost WWII
After, we celebrated the greatest generation
Without them, would we still be a nation?
But today things feel different again
We even shame the masculinity of men
We cancel all of those who disagree with the “power”
The liberals believe this is their finest hour
But inside the beltway, people are fuming
There something in the air that is clearly looming
There was once a civil war so long ago
Are we heading to civil war 2.0?
Seems the biggest issue is the color green
We are more energy challenged
Than we’ve ever been.
They boast and brag on the green new deal
And the fossil fuel industry they have set out to kill
How much longer must we endure a tyrannical state
Before we see “the 50” separate
Do we pick up arms and fight with guns and bullets
If we are given the trigger we are libel to pull it
I pray daily that this nation is healed
If not I believe many will be killed
And. we must join together and ask God to intervene
To prop up our country from completely crumbling
We need the good Shepherd to gather His flock
We only need to answer when we hear Him knock
But done without God will bear no fruit for us
We must get back to “in God we trust”
Civil war 2.0, I hope we can avoid
Just go to the voting booth if your annoyed
That’s the way we can change the divide
That the way to stem the tide
So pray for America, pray for Gods grace
In fact say a prayer for the whole human race
The only new green deal I want to see
Is the blades of green grass in eternity.
