Darkness looms o’er Americas land
The parade is over release the band
There’s no more love and kindness shared
Among strangers we meet in the public square
We no longer believe in a higher power
We turn away from God by day and by hour
Churches are empty the spirit has faded
American folk are completely jaded
We seek earthly things and sin without fear
We have no idea the judgement is near
So how do we stop this great malaise
For a God fearing man he kneels and prays
He prays for intervention to awaken the masses
Another abortion another day passes
He prays for revival within this nation
Another school shooting done with evil elation
Yes America has drifted away from religion
those that fear God are just a smidgeon.
Can the few that remain faithful make the masses understand
That we are on the path to destroying this land
Just one man died for all of our sins
But it is up to us to accept him
We must band together , those who believe,
and shout to the nation of the deceived
Come back to Jesus before it’s too late,
for America may have already sealed its fate
