Why do you believe in God

Because your Dad told you so

Is it because you’ve had an answered prayer

I’d really like to know

Why do you believe in God

Because of what you read

Because you read the Bible daily

Or because you have a need

Why do you believe in God

Because of your fear of hell

Is it that you have sinned

With no one else to tell

Why do you believe in God

Does the church sway your mind

Do you fear what others say

Do you find some cruel or kind

Why do you believe in God

Is it Bible prophecy

Messiah prophecies three hundred plus

Says he died for you and me

Why do you believe in God

Is your faith all you need

You know he’s the designer

Of every plant and seed

Why do you believe in God

It’s not for me to say

All I know is I believe

For Jesus is the way
